Making A Difference

The Luan Fund is an Irish-based charity that offers funding and support to help those in need across Ireland. We work with existing charities, social entrepreneurs, community groups and organisations while also supporting people in need directly.

The Luan Fund is funded by philanthropic donations.

We are aware that many people find themselves in difficulty in life and need a helping hand. For some that helping hand isn’t there and they can fall between the cracks of self sufficiency and Government funded support and services.

This could be for reasons of disability, poverty, unresolved trauma, addiction or sometimes just bad luck.

We support individuals directly and also charities, community groups, or any organisation that helps people in a similar way.

We don’t provide ongoing support. Our aim is to find the situations where our funding can either lead to a more sustainable situation or bridge a gap for a period until a better solution is found.

The Luan Fund strives to give people a ‘leg up’, a chance to get ahead, a chance to live a fulfilling life.

How We Help

Education

Equal access to education changes lives and communities. Our work includes offering educational bursaries, resources and support to the most disadvantaged of students. We partner with Irish Universities and Schools to help disadvantaged students achieve their educational goals.

Community

We look to support the excellent work being done to create healthier communities across Ireland. Nobody should be left behind due to poverty, disability, ethnicity or age. Our priority is to fund projects focused on creating a better Ireland for everyone.

Animal Welfare

Animal shelters, volunteers and groups across Ireland are battling a post-pandemic animal welfare crisis. We look to support the great work that is happening and to fund projects that can make a meaningful and sustainable difference to Animal Welfare in Ireland.

There are a wealth of organisations, charities and people that are working hard to build a better Ireland.

We are proud to join them and to support their work. If you have a project that you would like to discuss please contact us.
